چکیده

Baccharis dracunculifolia DC. is a pioneer plant native from Brazil that has great importance due to its secondary metabolites (essential oil and Brazilian green propolis) potential in the recovery of degraded areas. The main goal this study was evaluate propagation techniques B. by sexual reproduction asexual male female stem cuttings. For reproduction, individuals natural population were periodically monitored for their reproductive development diaspores collected maximum dry mass accumulation determine physiological maturity. germination test performed testing four temperatures (20, 25, 30, 20–30°C), addition speed index (GSI) first count. vegetative propagation, cuttings (8 cm) treated with an indole butyric acid (IBA) solution at 0, 1,500, 3,000, 4,500, 6,000 mg L−1. evaluated mortality, survival, rooting, sprouting, leaf retention, callogenesis, number roots, average length roots (cm) after 120 days. maturity occurred 40 days anthesis, which best time collection field. 25 or 20–30°C should be used tests species. count identified sowing last 11 rooting very low. Sex did not influence parameters, but increasing IBA doses positively influenced negatively calluses formation.

Analysis of a Brazilian green propolis from Baccharis dracunculifolia by HPLC-APCI-MS and GC-MS

Ethanol and dichloromethane extracts of a Brazilian green propolis from Baccharis dracunculifolia were analyzed by HPLC-APCI-MS and GC-MS, respectively. The HPLCAPCI-MS technique, at the positive mode, furnished a complete and unequivocal chemical composition of the green propolis sample. It serves as fi ngerprint for different propolis samples. The composition of the ethanol extract consisted ...

Nerolidol, an antiulcer constituent from the essential oil of Baccharis dracunculifolia DC (Asteraceae).

In this study, the antiulcerogenic effect of essential oil from Baccharis dracunculifolia was evaluated using the model of acute gastric lesions induced by ethanol. The ulcerative lesion index (ULI) was significantly reduced by oral administration of the essential oil of B. dracunculifolia at doses of 50, 250 and 500 mg/kg which reduced the lesions by 42.79, 45.70 and 61.61%, respectively. The ...

Baccharis dracunculifolia, the host plant of the gall maker Neopelma baccharidis Burck., is locally distributed in delimited patches. The effects of the host plant individual (plant height, crown diameter, and crown volume), local (host plant patch), and regional (locality) characteristics on the number of galls were analyzed, in Viçosa (three patches) and in Rio Doce State Park, Marliéria (two...

Comparative evaluation of in-vitro effects of Brazilian green propolis and Baccharis dracunculifolia extracts on cariogenic factors of Streptococcus mutans.

Streptococcus mutans triggers dental caries establishment by two major factors: synthesis of organic acids, which demineralize dental enamel, and synthesis of glucans, which mediate the attachment of bacteria to the tooth surface. Propolis is a natural product that may prevent dental caries. Baccharis dracunculifolia DC (Asteraceae), a native plant from Brazil, is the most important botanical o...
